NVIDIA recently introduced their latest GPU architecture named Maxwell. The all-new design for Stream Multiprocessors (SM) significantly improves energy efficiency. Developers previously utilizing Fermi or Kepler can continue development work as Maxwell retains the same CUDA programming model without any code changes.
