The PCIe x8 3.0 quad-port, switch-based cable adapter has a DMA controller and optional NT ports. The cable adapter operates in I/O expansion or networking mode with a DIP switch setting change. The cable adapter comes with two standard height brackets installed.

The host adapter installs in the host computer's PCIe x16 I/O slot, allowing communication between the processor and multiple I/O points

Insert the host cable adapter into a PCIe Gen3 x16 in two host system slots. Make sure that the card is well seated and tighten the screws on the face plates. Attach the cable(s) by first pulling back on the retractor ring. With the keyed slot aligned with the connector key ridge on the slot cover, insert the cable connector into the connector shell on the board until the connector teeth snap securely into the holes in the cable shell.
